What is recorded

When you generate a chart, the site writes a small file on its own server holding two things: the values you typed into the form — name, date of birth, time of birth, place, latitude, longitude, timezone and your calculation settings — and the list of pages you then opened, as paths alone, such as /chart, /chart/dasha, /chart/vargas.

That is the entire record. There is no IP address, no browser or device information, and no record of the site you arrived from. Visiting without generating a chart records only the path of the page, with nothing attached to it that could connect it to you or to another visit.

What is not recorded

The computed chart itself is never stored. Recalculating from the inputs is exact, so keeping the results would duplicate personal data for no benefit.

There are no cookies, no advertising or analytics scripts, no tracking pixels, and no third-party code of any kind. Nothing on this site loads from another company's server, so no one else learns that you visited.

Because no IP address or device fingerprint is kept, the site genuinely cannot count its visitors or tell one from another. Two people are indistinguishable from one person visiting twice. That is a real limitation of the reports the owner sees, accepted deliberately in exchange for holding nothing that identifies you.

Your birth details are not sent to anyone else

The place search runs against a gazetteer stored on this server, and the timezone is derived here too. Neither is looked up through Google, Mapbox or any other geocoding service, so the place you were born is not shared with a third party in order to find its coordinates.

The web server's own access log deliberately records the page path only, with the query string stripped out. Because a chart's details travel in that query string, this keeps birth dates and coordinates out of the server logs and out of the log archive.

Chart links are readable by whoever holds them

A chart page carries its birth details in the address bar, which is what makes a chart shareable by copying the link. Anyone you send that link to can read those details, and so can anyone who later finds the link in a browser history or a chat log. Search engines are instructed not to index chart pages, but treat a chart URL as you would treat the information in it.

Recent charts stay on your device

The "Recent charts" list on the home page is stored in your own browser and is never transmitted to the server. Clearing it with the Clear button removes it completely. There are no accounts and no sign-in, so there is nothing on the server tying one chart to another beyond what is in the log described above.

How long it is kept, and who can read it

Records are grouped by the day they were made, and days older than 120 are deleted in full. Each chart's file also stops growing after a few kilobytes, so reloading a chart many times does not extend what is kept about it.

Only the site owner can read it, through an endpoint that requires a secret token and that does not exist at all while no token is set. The data is not sold, not shared, not published, and never used to contact anyone — there is no mailing list and no marketing of any kind.

Why any of it is kept

To see whether the site is being used and which parts are worth improving. That is the whole purpose. It would be possible to run this site while storing nothing at all, and that remains a reasonable thing to ask for.

Removing your data

Contact the site owner with the approximate date and the name you entered, and the matching entries will be deleted from the log.
